Raindrop Technique® is so much more than just a massage!
Our practitioner Hester Scott is now offering Raindrop Technique® at our clinic.
It is a soothing, relaxing and pleasurable application of essential oils combined with special massage techniques to various areas of the body. The carefully chosen, layered sequence of eight Therapeutic-Grade Essential Oils may improve the overall functions of the body, supporting physical, mental and emotional wellbeing.
What is Raindrop Technique®?
Raindrop Technique® is a gentle, yet powerful technique developed from ancient Egyptian and Native American energy principles. These are combined with Ancient Tibetan reflexology, various massage techniques and the power of therapeutic-grade essential oils, to create a truly unique and wonderful experience. Because essential oils easily penetrate the skin and muscles, this technique works on deep levels of the body without requiring hard pressure or force.
It is a treat for all the senses, and to body, mind and spirit. The technique gives the receiver an opportunity to sink into a deep state of relaxation and inner connection.
Raindrop Technique focusses on the entire back and neck, and the reflex points of the feet (especially the “spinal” reflex). Yet the penetrating effect of the oils allow it to be felt throughout the body.
Essential oils used in the Classic Raindrop Technique include Oregano (anti-microbial), Thyme (immune system), Basil (voluntary muscles), Wintergreen (bones & joints), Marjoram (involuntary muscles), Cypress (lymphatics & circulation), Peppermint (anti-inflammatory) and the Valor blend (balancing). Other oils may be added or substituted for your specific needs.
What can I expect during the session?
The oils are first applied to the spinal reflex points of the feet using a specialized Tibetan method called Vitaflex. The oils are then applied to the spine and/or the back using a Lakota Native American feathering technique to stimulate the nervous system to encourage relaxation to all areas of the body. Additional massage strokes are used to support loosening of the muscles around each spinal joint.
It is important to be well hydrated by drinking plenty of quality water before and after the session. Session will begin with a height assessment and conclude with 10 minute rest and a re-measurement. Due to the aroma of the oils and the deep relaxation of the body, it can be a good idea to allow for rest afterwards.
How much does it cost?
A Raindrop session is $150 regardless of the session length and includes all the classic raindrop essential oils. The first session can take up to 2 hours and follow up sessions allow for 1 1/4 hours.
Hester Scott proudly trained with Raindrop Australia, completing the Raindrop Technique Masterclass.
